THE FOUNDERS CIRCLE

First in line.
Before the public is.

Unito Mezcal is opening a community round on Wefunder. The list gets the link 72 hours before everyone else. Founder updates, behind-the-scenes from Oaxaca, and the story of how a Mexican rock star ended up running his grandfather’s palenque.

The Moment

$12M PRE-MONEY

Institutional capital already committed. The community round opens alongside it, not after.

RNDC distribution

One of the largest spirits distributors in the country onboarded Unito. They almost never take on small mezcal brands. They took on this one.

A film moment in November

Unito is placed in a major Mexican film premiering in theaters through Cinepolis and streaming on Amazon Prime. The bottle hits screens in front of millions right as the raise heats up.

A rock star, a grandfather, and a bottle.

Beno Martinez has spent twenty-five years on stage as the frontman of Genitallica, one of the most influential Mexican rock bands of his generation. Somewhere between the tours and the records, he kept coming back to a small palenque in Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca, where his family has produced mezcal across three generations.

That palenque is run by Don Abundio Santiago Lopez and his son Neto. No additives, no shortcuts, no marketing. Just the way mezcal has been made in that village for a hundred years.

Beno named the brand Unito after his grandfather. The promise on the bottle is simple. If his grandfather's name is on it, it has to be made the way his grandfather would have made it. NOM-070 certified. Lab-verified additive-free. Every batch.

"I wasn't going to put my grandfather's name on anything less."
