Built with artisanal rigor and legal discipline, our brand was created to share mezcal without gatekeeping — rooted in Oaxaca, operating across borders, and engaging people with respect.
Respect guides our sourcing philosophy — respect for the land and for the people who cultivate it. By combining estate-grown agave with hand-selected plants from neighboring producers, we preserve both the integrity and diversity of our raw materials, ensuring every batch reflects the richness of Oaxaca’s terroir.

The Origins of UNITO
In the Words of Beno
We were born from Beno’s desire to connect artistry, family history, and Mexican heritage. For more than 25 years as the lead singer of Genitallica, he took Mexican music around the world with irreverence and passion. Over time, mezcal became another way to preserve what mattered most, a way to bottle feeling, legacy, and shared moments. Our name and essence honor his grandfather, Don Benito: a kind, serious man who loved boxing and family gatherings. Some of our most meaningful roots trace back to Sundays spent talking about fights and life together. In that spirit, UNITO became more than a bottle — it became a vessel for legacy, connection, and remembrance.
