You get the smokiness that you often expect from a mezcal, but not so much of it where it hides the other flavors. I've made an Old-Fashioned with this bottle, along with a variation of the tiki cocktail, Jungle Bird, and I loved it in both ways. I've grabbed a few extra bottles since my first experience, for holiday events and gifts! Would definitely recommend - especially if you want a nice mezcal, that can be used in multiple recipes, at a fair price.
